embarking on our last adventure!
Josephine and I went this morning to see Grug, an Australian production geared towards kids her age. It was tremendously adorable-- even the adults smiled and laughed through the whole thing. The three performers/puppeteers did such an expressive, enthusiastic job, and the set and storyline were clever.
Also, you had to love that every time Grug appeared, the tiny girl next to me (maybe 1.5 years old) got all excited and squeaked, "GWUUUG!"
The kids wrote him letters ahead of time (Josephine drew him maps).

We couldn't take pictures during the performance, but afterwards, the kids were allowed to approach the set, have photos made, wish Grug a Happy Birthday, and talk to (or more accurately: stand and gawk at) the performers.

It was truly a pleasant little adventure. I'm so glad Sean had heard about this kid's show; it was absolutely perfect. Plus, it snowed the whole time we were out -- just enough to add charm -- and we got a final dose of Manhattan since it was just a couple blocks from Times Square.
Truly an excellent note on which to end!
