Had a little Christmas in Austin before the family travels began. Some gifts, warm tea, a fire in the fireplace, and treats that Josephine made. The kids enjoyed it, predictably and adorably.

Clement decided the dog was a boy. The gender stuck. Names have not. So far, his name has been firmly declared to be Applesauce, then Birds, then Curtain.
All shortened, conveniently, to "dawgie."
We'll see how it shakes out in the end.
At Josephine's school, the kindergarteners, third grade, and fifth grade choir had a "Winter Holiday" production on the Wednesday before school let out for the "Winter Holiday Break". The children did a beautiful and very cute job.
(Don't get me started on how a 45 minute Christmas production didn't mention God or the name of Jesus ONCE...)

We started with the little version of the Ikea dog about 5 years ago... His name is Scheppy and is a member of the family for sure!! We have expanded to another one of the little ones and the big one (like Clement's), plus many other not as cute other dogs. I think Joel sleeps with 6 dogs every night, but Scheppy is still the favorite!!
Also, I hear you about the programs that don't mention Jesus... I'd be ok with the inclusion other stuff since it is public school, but just sing one Jesus song please!
