This was NOT a forced activity. I repeat: no one made them drop all those fun toys and come help with laundry. No one even mentioned it. This a is a photo of self-initiated enjoyment. Can't you tell?
Those faces!! They were so funny! I don't blame them; clothespins are tricky.
I'm happy to announce that they did both master the the process of opening the pin long enough to get it on the rope. They are so smart and quick!
Let's see... other news from earlier this month...
We went down to San Antonio with Sean's mom in order to visit her mother. It was a very good trip. Josephine was delighted to have two nights of Mama Jo time...
... which included more bubbles-- this time the real kind...
And since Josephine is a big fan of canned beets, Mama Jo had brought supplies for them to make a new batch. Josephine did a bit more taste-testing than helping... but you know... quality control's important.
Oh and thank the good Lord... Sean finally replaced his shoes.
YES that is a blog-worthy event.
We (I say we, I mean Sean) also made good progress on planning a couple of upcoming trips, which we're looking forward to, and the kitchen cabinets are well underway at this point. Been as busy as this oppressive heat will allow!

Yum... canned beets... a girl after my own heart.
Josephine is getting so big! Oh, why do you all live so far away?
Agreed. Come back. But your lives do look pretty fun. I love the clothespin faces. And I think Sean (who looks like mom by the way) beats Chris for ratty shoes!
That pic of them with the clothespins is amazing.... love it! And, I want to see these opinionated (bossy is sometimes thrown around at our house ;)) girls in action!! Thank you again for watching Zanna in all her bossy-pants-ness. Know I'll return the favor any time you want! Love that girl of yours!
