the bedsprings are groaning

I'm starting to think the most expensive thing about this baby is going to be the advanced wear and tear my additional weight is causing our mattress. Between me and the bed there's a whole lot of moaning that accompanies my lying down at night (and my attempts to sit up in the morning, and the multitude of bathroom breaks in between. Shoot, pretty much the minute I walk in the bedroom the mattress starts complaining audibly).

Had a terrible stomach bug this week that I'm just beginning to recover from. Made me so grateful that I'm not further along than I am. As it was, trying to lie still and recover was actually a lot of work because I constantly had to change position. My little butternut squash does not seem so small when she's lying on and kicking at a defunct digestive system. Also glad I didn't have the bug during the first trimester on top of the nausea and exhaustion that came with that. So if I had to get it, now was probably an okay time. I'm very happy to be recovering though.

Here's the belly at 29 weeks.

And, of course, Sean at 29 weeks. (Doesn't he know he's supposed to do something funny?? We all have these expectations now!)

So here we are. Well into the third trimester. [Yikes.] I'm not sure how we got here so quickly.
